Es ist so weit, die finale Version ist nun verfügbar. Sie wirkt performant und die meisten »Bugs« sind beseitigt. Allerdings wurde bisher die Möglichkeit, das Erscheinungsbild anzupassen, immer schlechter. Es ist nicht möglich, ein Vordefiniertes Hintergrundbild mit einer eigenen Farbe der Menübar einzustellen. Des Weiteren ist das CSS nicht ausgelegt für helle Hintergründe, hier muss wieder manuell nachgearbeitet werden. Dies ist für den Laien stellenweise zu kompliziert, mMn. Und ich fürchte, dies ist nur die Spitze des Eisberges.

Natürlich bietet Nextcloud immer noch einen Mehrwert, allerdings bin ich mittlerweile der Ansicht, dies betrifft nur einen gewissen Personenkreis. Die letzten Versionen empfand ich stellenweise als »Verschlimmbesserung«, angefangen damals mit der Galerie. Auch empfinde ich, bei der Performance, kann noch mehr passieren. Nextcloud besteht immer noch auf PHP. Es gibt hier bereits Alternativen (z. B. https://www.seafile.com/en/home/), hier muss man lediglich anmerken, dass die aktive Entwicklung sowie der update Zyklus, nicht gerade schnell ist. Dennoch durch den Einsatz von Python, C und JavaScript, bietet dies eine bessere Performance.

Ich selbst nutze Nextcloud seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr aktiv, war aber schon von Anfang an dabei. Ich pflege trotzdem noch die Anleitungen, damit Ihr die Cloudlösung nutzen könnt für eure Zwecke.
